This is just a video documenting an installation I set up involving the projection of both ink videos I put together earlier in November.
There's no sound because I couldn't think of anything appropriate other than maybe white noise, but that didn't sound quite right. Later I might go back to the space and just do a recording of the ambient sounds occurring in the installation space.

The Wall
I've finally got my film back and scanned from ages ago! Really need to find a decent photo lab to develop my film.
For this project I only had the initial idea of standing people in front of the same blue wall and asking them to pull an intense expression. The best ones I used a light meter I had borrowed, but now I have my own there should be no more dark and soft photos in the future!
I'm still not sure what I want to do with them, but at the moment I'm happy to retake those people that didn't work out and find some new models to carry on the theme.
Here are a few of the ones I thought worked best, with a little bit of editing to bring up the contrast:
The weird line across one image is the result of the film scanner not being properly aligned, which means it cuts images up a bit weirdly and I have to join some back together.

A Little Update
It's been a while since my last post, but to be honest not much has been going on anyway!
I've rearranged my studio space:
I found these abstract patterns on photo paper quite interesting, they were actually the result of the colour darkroom processing machine having the wrong mix of chemicals and I quite liked their painterly character. Not sure what to do with them, I think they might just work on their own as they are to be honest, maybe just a frame.
I also did a short little film over Christmas:
Basically every year butterflies suddenly appear in my room in the middle of winter, I think they like to hibernate here or something, anyway it's quite sad because it's still too cold for them, so my room is constantly littered with dead butterflies. This one woke up Christmas eve and I thought I may as well give it some sort of purpose. The audio on the video is an acousmatic piece composed by my other half, which he very kindly let me borrow.
